Solar Thermal Energy
Solar thermal energy is produced by converting solar radiation into usable heat. The sun rays fall onto a blackened surface made of metal or plastic. This surface absorbs the rays and converts them into heat for hot water production. Solar collectors are embedded in a transparent laminate of glass or plastic which prevents any loss of heat from the absorbers due to radiation. |
